We will begin the Classroom/Lecture Theatre refresh on 1 July 2024, so it is essential you let us know your requirements before 23 June 2024. If you do not, we cannot guarantee the software will be available as required.
This year we will be deploying Windows 11 (64-bit) on all IT Services-managed student classroom and lecture theatre PCs. We will be using Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Edge will be the default browser.

Please do not assume that someone else will request commonly used software, or that colleagues will request software on your behalf.
Remember that classroom software must be licensed for concurrent use. If you have any queries about licensing, please get in touch.

Science Teaching Hub
The laptop devices in the Science Teaching Hub (STH) run a different software portfolio. If you have any requirements for teaching software on these devices, then please make a separate request with specific reference to the STH.
The PCs at the teaching stations in the labs will be refreshed in line with our standard lecture theatre build.

Security patches and software updates
To maintain our Digital Security, we may have to update software during term-time or, in extreme cases, remove software completely if security patches are no longer available.
