Professor Jennie Macdiarmid is the Director for the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing, which aims to bring people from different disciplines to work together to find solution for some of the major challenges we faced today. She is a Professor of Sustainable Nutrition and Health and her research focus on sustainable food systems and healthy diets, which brings together natural, biological and social sciences. She also co-ordinates a MSc course on Sustainable Diets and Global Food Systems. The course is designed to study diets and the food system from different disciplinary perspectives, such as nutrition, environment and behaviours, and encourage students to think beyond their own disciplinary background and expertise.
