The Vice-Principal (Education), Professor Jo-Anne Murray, has responsibility for learning and teaching strategy and policy for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, and convenes the University Committee for Learning and Teaching. She has responsibility for strategy and policy for: quality assurance and enhancement, student experience and student support, student retention and progression, and widening participation.

Together with the convenor of the University's Quality Assurance Committee, the Vice-Principal (Education) will review proposals and agreements for student-related partnerships such as accreditations, validations and joint degrees where these require approval by the University Committee for Learning and Teaching, and Senate.
