Miles Rothoerl is a student at the University of Aberdeen, pursuing a degree in Politics and Philosophy, and has been a member of the Students’ Union Education Committee since 2021. As the committee’s Social Science representative, Miles has been involved in the Union’s response to a range of academic issues, such as the challenges posed by pandemic and post-pandemic changes to assessment methods, mitigating academic misconduct, and improving the experiences of international students, and supports the Students’ Union leadership in developing and implementing programmes aimed at enhancing student life on campus. In addition, Miles serves as a student voice on the Academic Senate, helping shape policies and decisions that impact students’ academic experiences at the University.
