Peer Assisted Learning: what do students and PAL leaders get out of it?
Previous studies into Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) schemes in higher education have shown benefits in terms of grade increases and improved retention for both students attending the scheme as tutees, and the students who act as tutors (PAL Leaders). Our study uses qualitative and quantitative methods to explore how this benefit might be obtained.
