Ruth Taylor photoThe theme for the Annual Academic Development Symposium is aligned with the current QAA Scotland Enhancement Theme, Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience. The Symposium will provide an opportunity for staff across the University to engage with and discuss the current Theme.

The Symposium was meant to open with a keynote speech entitled 'The student experience: Adaptation, influence and partnership' from Professor Ruth Taylor, Vice Principal (Education), University of Aberdeen.

The keynote was supposed to be followed by parallel 'swap shops' to share and discuss practice. The event would have concluded with a plenary session by Professor Derek Scott, Principal's Teaching Excellence Award Winner 2018/19 and the presentation of prizes for the Symposium poster competition.
