Biography
I qualified as a dentist In Edinburgh in 1988. I then worked in General Practice whilst studying for an MSc in community dental health. I took up a post working with people with special needs in Lothian before moving to Grampian in 2000 in order to take up the position of senior dental officer for Special Care Dentistry.
I was the clinical director for the Grampian Community Dental service from 2006 until 2010 when the service was reconfigured to 3 Community Health Partnership Areas.
I then took the opportunity of working in Aberdeen dental school as a senior Teaching Fellow as well as continuing my NHS work within the Aberdeenshire CHP area.
