Last Thursday, two dozen staff from the University took part in an afternoon beach clean on Aberdeen's main beachfront. Organised in partnership with East Grampian Coastal Partnership (EGCP), the volunteers had a successful time, clearing around 50kg of assorted waste from the Beach Ballroom to the River Don.
Glorious sunshine and the chance to meet up with colleagues from all parts of the University made for a thoroughly rewarding event. Supportive comments from locals enjoying the beach and discussions with academic colleagues about possible student events with EGCP suggest this may be the first of many.
