An update on mail service

Since the University closure, there has been no outgoing mail from Kings Campus, with a vastly reduced volume of outgoing (NHS related) mail from Foresterhill.  The limited incoming mail at Kings has been sorted and stored securely. 

Partial Reinstatement of the Mailroom and Outgoing Mail Services

The University Mailroom at 9a Dunbar Street, Kings Campus, will open for 2 half days in order to process any outgoing mail:

  • Tuesday 14 July 2020          0900 – 1200 hours
  • Thursday 16 July 2020         0900 – 1200 hours

It will be open every Monday and Thursday between these times thereafter, with an increase in operational hours and capacity to be reviewed on a weekly basis going forward.

Storage and Collection of Collection of stockpiled mail from Kings Campus

All mail received at the University Mailroom during closure has been stored securely.  Following the return of Porters to campus in early July, mail will be sorted and placed into the relevant School, Directorate and Departmental areas within their buildings (as per normal mail delivery) for the mail to be collected once staff are permitted to return to campus for such activity.
