Starting in October the Library will be running free Information Skills Workshops to help undergraduates and taught postgraduates spend more time reading and less time searching.
Learn about Primo, the first place to begin searching for library materials. Discover how to find and download hundreds of thousands of scholarly e-books. Understand why Google can’t compete with academic databases when it comes to finding academic literature, and also the ways in which Google can be searched cleverly. Take control of referencing and make sure easy marks in assignments aren’t lost.
These one hour Find it Fast! Workshops will help students get connected quickly with the wide range of information available to them at the University of Aberdeen. It will be an hour well spent to save precious time in the future.
For further information on these workshops visit the InfoLinks Blog and to book a place go to www.abdn.ac.uk/coursebooking.
Also, we are still running Library Tours in The Sir Duncan Rice Library until Friday next week. Details available here.
