Staff are reminded to save the date for Santa’s annual visit to Old Aberdeen on December 4.
As well as a visit from Mr Claus, there will be refreshments, entertainment for children as well as the switching on of the Christmas tree lights. There will be storytelling at 4pm and the light switch on will be 5pm.
London-based friends, family and alumni can also join the University to celebrate the festive season at the University of Aberdeen Carol Service which will be held at St Marylebone Parish Church in London on Wednesday 3 December.
The Nine Lessons and Carols Service will include music by the University’s own Chamber Choir, conducted by Professor Paul Mealor.
The service will also feature the world premiere of ‘Adam lay ybounden’, a specially commissioned piece by Thomas LaVoy, a PhD student in Composition studying with Professor Mealor.
The evening will culminate with mulled wine and mince pies, providing an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful time of year with members of the ever growing University of Aberdeen family.
