A reminder to staff that the Call for Ideas for next year's May Festival closes on the 25 October 2013.
We are keen to remind staff about the Call for Ideas for next year’s University May Festival. This year’s festival was a huge success, and was shortlisted for an award in the recent national Scottish Event Awards.
The Call for Ideas gives everyone across the University an opportunity to shape the next festival. We’re particularly interested in building on the Discover strand featuring researcher-led events which attracted particularly positive reviews from audiences.
What's On Portal
We have also launched a new ‘What’s On’ portal - www.abdn.ac.uk/events - on the University website, which will make it much easier for all our audiences to see the full range of our events and find the details they need.
To maximise the benefit of this, we ask that all proposals for University events open to the public over the coming year are notified to the Events team as soon as possible. This is important in avoiding diary clashes, gaining professional guidance on event management, maximising advertising and adding value.
