Key Benefits of the new fleet

  • Consolidating the current fleet from 16 different types of devices to 2 high functioning enterprise devices.
  • All devices have the ability to print in colour and scan, with AM-5000 having the ability to print and scan A3.
  • Heat Free Technology offers an 86% sustainability savings.
  • Increased print, copy and scan speed, Heat Free Technology requires no warmup time meaning it is 50% faster for first page.  AM-C device, our core fleet will be capable of printing 50 pages per minutes and scan 120 images per minute which is an improvement of current speeds.
  • High-capacity ink cartridges means fewer changes.

Sustainability and Energy Savings:

The rollout is projected to achieve significant energy savings annually, aligning with the University 2040 sustainability goals.

Cost Per Print Charges

From June 2024 there will be an adjustment in our cost per copy charges. This change is necessary to reflect the increased expenses associated with providing these services and to ensure we continue to offer the best possible support to our users.  Despite the modest increase in cost per copy charges we are maintaining the accessibility of our scanning services, which will continue to be offered free of charge.

Collection of old devices

The collection of the old Konica Minolta devices has commenced first with the removal of the hard drives then the removal of the devices that are not to be replaced, minimising the impact during the 3-week transition period.  Konica Minolta will then remove the remaining hard drives and devices following the new installation.  There will be an overlap of up to a week while they complete the collections.

We believe the new Epson fleet will significantly enhance our print, copy, and scan services, offering improved efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.  We appreciate your cooperation and patience during the transition period.
