Our research has been recognised in the Scottish Parliament with two early day motions. Kevin Stewart, MSP for Aberdeen Central, raised research by the University that identified a new tool to detect signs of motor neuron disease (MND) before symptoms begin. He also submitted a motion congratulating researchers for their work developing the Mia AI tool, that identifies breast cancers earlier in women. Tess Stewart, MSP for the north-east Scotland region, flagged University research that found the consistent undertreatment of women with cardiovascular disease may have led to preventable heart attacks, stroke and deaths.
