Volunteers are being sought to help with the roll-out of the national booster vaccination programme, in response to the fast-spreading Covid-19 Omicron variant.
Any staff member or student who would like to volunteer to assist the booster programme in a non-clinical capacity can register with the National Volunteer Co-ordination Hub, run by the British Red Cross which was established earlier in the year and coordinates volunteering opportunities across most Covid-19 response programmes.
Volunteers are likely to be needed at different times and locations around Scotland, so will only be deployed as and when there is a real need for volunteers in their area. Anyone who wishes to volunteer can register their interest with the National Volunteer Coordination Hub by emailing Covid_19ResponseScotland@redcross.org.uk
