Data and Business Intelligence - project update

Following the roll out of the Student Population data and the release of the first Power BI dashboards, the project team would like to invite you to the next Town Hall meeting for a project update and a demonstration of its capabilities.

Dear Colleagues,

You may remember I wrote to you back in February about our significant investment into a new Data and Visualisation platform. Since then the project team has been working hard to deliver the first data area, Student Population, which considers the numbers and distribution of students across the University.

I am pleased to announce that we have just released the first dashboards to SMT, Directors, Heads of School, School Administration Managers and the Deans of Education and Student Recruitment and a programme of training is currently being rolled out to support them in using this exciting new tool.

Access to the new platform is being rolled out in stages, linked to project delivery; however, we would like to warmly invite all staff to join the Project Team at our next Town Hall meeting for a demonstration of the capabilities and a project update.

Due to the challenges that have arisen due to the global pandemic, the project will enter temporary hibernation until we can start the next data area. In the meantime, we will continue to grow our internal knowledge and expertise, allowing us to use the platform to support our growing work around Data & Business Intelligence.

Best wishes,
Karl
