Delegates from the University of Aberdeen were presented with a commemorative gift from the University of Zurich (UZH) last week to mark the 80th anniversary of our partnership with them.
The University of Aberdeen has had a student exchange agreement with UZH since 1938. As Switzerland was the host country of this year’s European Association for International Education conference, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of this partnership.
Our current exchange agreement is covered by the Swiss European Mobility Programme and is university-wide, ie a student from any subject area who can find suitable courses at UZH may apply for one of the available places. The Swiss Government provide scholarships for all incoming and outgoing exchange students. Applications for 2019/20 will open in January 2019.
