Staff taking part in the University of Aberdeen's award-winning International Leadership Development Programme (ILDP) are on a global fact-finding mission.
Two groups of delegates are visiting Curtin University in Australia and the University of Iceland, in an initiative that aims to learn lessons from other institutions in areas of higher education strategy and culture.
The University has a strategic partnership with Curtin, and the staff visiting there will find out more about its approach to transnational education. Meanwhile, the delegation to the University of Iceland - a fellow member of the Aurora Network – will learn about its success in building a performance-enhanced culture.
Margaret Ross, Vice-Principal for People at the University of Aberdeen, said: “As a University with an international outlook we are keen to learn lessons from institutions worldwide, as well as build opportunities for further collaboration and networking.
“These study visits through the ILDP are a great opportunity for our staff to learn about best practice and bring that knowledge back to Aberdeen, so we can continue to develop our reputation as a world-leading University.
