The next Online Education Forum will be held on Wednesday 21 February from 11am to 12pm in MacRobert 028 (Old Aberdeen) and Med Chi Hall (Foresterhill).
January’s session was so well attended we have decided to run the forum simultaneously in Old Aberdeen and Foresterhill to allow more people to attend. A recording of the January session, featuring Catherine Ogilvie’s presentation on designing and tutoring online courses and Professor Alex Johnstone’s experience of running a MOOC on the FutureLearn platform, is available here.
The February forum will include a presentation from Kirsty Kiezebrink on ‘Adapting courses from face to face to online: lessons learned (the hard way!)’ We will also take time to answer general questions and get thoughts and ideas on topics for future sessions. While all are welcome and no formal booking is required, it would help to have an idea of numbers so please email onlinelearning@abdn.ac.uk to confirm if you are planning to attend or if you would like a web link to participate remotely.
