The UK terrorism threat level was reduced earlier this week from ‘critical’ to ‘severe’.
Whilst a reduction in the threat level is welcome, we would urge everyone to remain vigilant.
The University will continue to review the arrangements for future events, including graduation ceremonies. As a precaution, some of the measures which were put in place last week are likely to remain, whilst ensuring that business can continue as normal.
It would help our security arrangements if you ensure you carry your staff ID at all times whilst on campus. We would urge you to feel confident about reporting anything which seems unusual or out of place.
