The doors to the Zoology Museum will be open to visitors on Saturday 7 September. Come and see the amazing displays of creatures. We'll have activity sheets and our popular Lego Trail for visitors to enjoy.

About the Museum

You will find the the Zoology Museum inside the Zoology Building at the University of Aberdeen. The building houses the School of Biological Sciences and the Aberdeen Biodiversity Centre and is next door to the Cruickshank Botanic Garden.

The displays are worldwide in scope, from protozoa to the great whales, including taxidermy, skeletons, fluid-preserved specimens and models which are on shown in a lower gallery and an upper gallery which has a balcony view of the exhibits below.

Visitors are warmly welcomed to the museum, and there is no charge for admission. There are two entrances to the Zoology Museum: on Tillydrone Avenue at the top of the stairs or via Cruickshank Gardens.

  • Museum staff will be on hand to welcome you to the museum.
  • There will be self-guided activity sheets and trails.
  • Take one of our Puppet Pals on a tour of the galleries.
