The Elphinstone Institute proudly presents its extensive public events calendar for 2023–2024.
What is the Elphinstone Institute? Founded in 1995 in honour of the University of Aberdeen’s quincentenary, we’re dedicated to the triple task of researching, teaching, and celebrating the rich culture of the North-East and North of Scotland, all through the disciplines of Ethnology, Folklore, and Ethnomusicology.
