Join us for a fun day of science for all the family at Aberdeen Science Centre for British Science Week 2018!

This once a year event organised by the British Science Association Branch is suitable for all ages. Come along to see all of the Aberdeen Science Centre exhibits and much more besides. There will be hands-on activities in the lab, flashes and bangs chemistry shows and the Aberdeen City Council Countryside Rangers! Discovery Day 2018 is a day of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths suitable for everyone!There’s a chance to see the exciting Flashes and Bangs show from the University of Aberdeen where you can find out the chemistry behind a rocket launch and much more besides!We will be joined by RSPB Scotland to discover wildlife conservation and you can find out more about the work they do to protect local birds and habitats.Visitors can learn about our popular Dolphinwatch project as itprepares for its 6th season. Wildlife themed arts & crafts activities will also be on offer.Researchers from the University of Aberdeen will be here exploring the world of deep sea creatures and much more.There will be many organisations from around Aberdeen City andAberdeenshire at this day of exciting hands-on science including TechFest who will be with us all day delivering workshops.Aberdeen Science Centre is located at 179 Constitution Street near Aberdeen Beach. The Number 15 bus route stops very near the door and free parking is available but limited.
