The Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2016 will be held 12-18 March, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Early registration is open until 20 December 2015. Late registration ends 12 February 2016
Arctic Science Summit Week is the annual gathering of international scientists and policymakers who advance Arctic research. Through separate but related meetings and events, the Summit provides opportunities for international coordination, collaboration and cooperation in all fields of Arctic science.
The ASSW 2016 includes Arctic Science Summit Week Business Meetings, Arctic Council Senior Arctic Officials Meeting, Arctic Observing Summit, UArctic Model Arctic Council and International Arctic Assembly.
UArctic Thematic Network on Model Arctic Council (MAC) will organise an experiential learning exercise in which graduate and undergraduate students from institutions across the Arctic and world convene to represent and simulate the work of Member States, Permanent Participants, and Observers of the Arctic Council (AC).
There will also be several other opportunities for early-career scientists to learn more about arctic policy and research before and during Arctic Science Summit Week. The programme is currently being developed for several special events.
