The recently published "Mammal Atlas for North East Scotland and the Cairngorms" will be discussed by Dr Annie Robinson and its lead editor, Nick Littlewood at Waterstones Union Bridge book store on 24 January 2018 at 7pm - 8.45pm. Open to all.
As part of the Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City 2018 - Speaker: Dr Annie Robinson, from the University of Aberdeen's School of Biological Sciences, along with Nick Littlewood will talk about the recently published "Mammal Atlas for North East Scotland and the Cairngorms" created in part by a standing army of citizen scientists. Stories include:
- regional amazing mammals
- red squirrel recovery
- eastward march of pine martens
- new bat species for the area
Monthly informal talks and discussions are hosted by Waterstone's Union Bridge book store in Aberdeen's Union Street, usually around the middle Wednesday of the month. Sessions run from January through to October and are free to attend. No booking is required and places are allocated on the first-come basis.
