The University of Aberdeen has risen two places in the latest The Complete University Guide league table.
Aberdeen is 40th in the table which this year ranks 129 UK universities. The position is the highest the University has held in recent years.
Of the individual subjects ranked within the top 10 in the UK, Aberdeen boasts six - Anatomy & Physiology, Creative Writing, Land & Property Management, Law, Linguistics, and Sports Science.
Sports Science was the biggest mover in Aberdeen's top 10 subjects - rising 14 places to eighth in the UK. Linguistics went up eight places to sixth in the UK; Anatomy & Physiology went up seven places to seventh in the UK; and Law went up three places to ninth in the UK. Creative Writing remains at 10th in the UK for consecutive year, whilst Land & Property Management also holds steady at second in the UK.
Overall, the University went up or stayed the same in seven of the 10 categories used to assess each university.
