A Light Palette: The Representation of Scotland's Lighthouses since the 19th century
-
This is a past event
Wild, remote locations are a hallmark for lighthouses, so they have been a frequent subject of drawings, paintings, prints, photographs and postcards. The lecture will explore the different ways in which Scottish lighthouses have been represented over the past two centuries, basing itself on images in the collections of the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses and the University of Aberdeen.
