Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen’s world class printmaker, has teamed up with BrewDog, Hell Yeah artists Katie Guthrie & Mike Hughes and Art Retail Network, Scotland’s top art tech company. The result is a cutting edge, interactive arts experience that anyone can enjoy. The best part of the night is that more than 200 limited edition prints will be given away for free!

On the night, visitors will be able to watch James Vass use printmaking equipment to produce limited edition prints of Katie & Mike's winning artwork. Each visitor receives a free artist signed print until the prints run out. The prints are sure to go fast so anyone who wants a free print should make sure to show up early.

Following the event, Peacock Visual Arts will gift prints of the same artwork to the 30 BrewDog Bars around the world - from London to Barcelona to Sao Paolo.

This means visitors will have the same artwork that’s hanging in every BrewDog bar.

As part of the event, Peacock Visual Arts is also working with Glasgow-based art technology company, Art Retail Network, to bring the artwork to life in an entirely new way.

Every print will be activated with ActivCanvas. ActivCanvas is a new app that allows users to access the story behind any ActivCanvas enabled artwork. Simply by pointing a smartphone at the artwork, users gain access to a video telling the story behind the artwork.

An added twist is that those who attend the event become part of the story of the artwork. On the night Summerhall TV will be filming the entire evening. They will then use the footage from the night to produce the video which will be triggered when anyone scans the print. So, visitors on the night may just find themselves popping up in BrewDog bars around the world.

“No one in the world is doing what this group is doing. They’re bringing together innovative Scottish businesses, talented Aberdeen artists, forward thinking arts organizations and involving the community as part of the artistic story…It’s fantastic.” - Zach Sorrells, Art Retail Network.

Hell Yeah artist Katie Guthrie said: "Working together with Peacock to create our first print for BrewDog is a great experience as it's giving two local artists the opportunity to work alongside two local businesses who we see as an important part of our city's identity and culture. We normally work together on large scale installations so it's been a lot of fun taking that down to a much smaller scale, giving us the opportunity to create some new work in quite an unorthodox manner."
