In this curators talk, Professor Peter Davidson and Sophie Dietrich will give an introduction to the history and ideas behind the Far North exhibition.
They will then discuss the exhibition in detail: Peter Davidson paying particular attention to the archival and historical material, Sophie Dietrich to the structure of the exhibition as a whole, and the contemporary artworks which explore real and imagined northern territories.
The talk will explain the rationale behind the exhibition and the curatorial decisions that were made, and will explore the continuing interest in and relevance of the Far North today.
Free admission but booking advisable.
Please note that this talk will move around the exhibition space, and will be filmed for a future video podcast.
