Scratch performances and audience discussions exploring contemporary resonances of ancient and traditional texts - All welcome.
A free, unique event in which researchers from the University of Aberdeen invite members of the public to discuss short scratch performances inspired by ancient and traditional texts, including Old Norse myths and inscriptions in runes, and offer their own suggestions for future creative responses to such texts. Performances will include experimental sound art, poetry and movement, and the discussions will follow the principles of Liz Lerman’s acclaimed Critical Response Process.
This event has been funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
