Join us for the opening film in the series accompanying the Scarred/Sacred Water exhibition.
H2Oil focuses on the controversial development of the Athabasca oil sands in northern Alberta and raises important issues about the consequences of resource extraction for both environments and people (75 mins). Learn more about the film at: http://h2oildoc.com/
Using a bicycle generator system to power the film projector takes this viewing off the power grid. Audience members can choose to participate in taking turns on the bicycle while watching the film or relax while our volunteers power the screening.
Join us to discuss the questions raised by both the film and exhibition. All are welcome.
