An exhibition inspired by an art-science collaboration between the University of Aberdeen and the Scottish Sculpture Workshop will open to the public for 10 days from Friday 8 November.
The exhibition will celebrate the natural history of the landscape around Bennachie, NE Scotland. Further details can be found by visiting the following link http://www.abdn.ac.uk/geography/events/4252/
This exhibition results from a collaboration between ~ in the fields and Dr. Edward Schofield of the School of Geosciences at the University of Aberdeen, exploring the past environment of the iconic Bennachie range through soil sampling and pollen analysis.
The exhibition opens with an Artist Talk at 7pm on Thursday 7 November, in the Ground Floor Event Space in the Sir Duncan Rice Library. The exhibition has been kindly supported by the University of Aberdeen and the Library Special Collections and Museums. The Artist Talk is free to attend and open to all.
The work by ~ in the fields and Dr. Schofield has been undertaken over the last six months as one of four international artists participating in the Natural Bennachie project, which is supported by Scottish Natural Heritage and Creative Scotland.
