Biography

I studied a BA in Politics at the University of Sheffield, before completing an MA and PhD in International Relations at the University of Sussex. Initially as a Teaching Fellow, I joined the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen in 2014. My book Empires of Remorse: Narrative, Postcolonialism and Apologies for Colonial Atrocity is published by Routledge. I have published original research articles in leading international journals, including Review of International StudiesThird World Quarterly, Cooperation and Conflict, Journal of Human Rights, Global Studies Quarterly, and Millennium.
