Two candidates affiliated to the School of Social Science have recently, after their viva voce examinations, had their PhDs confirmed.
Domenico Carolei successfully defended his PhD thesis (pending minor corrections) with a thesis titled ‘A Study of the Effectiveness of Civil Society Self Regulation and on Beneficiary Accountability – the Case of Roman Civil society and the ‘Mafie Capitale’ Scandal ’. His supervisors were Matyas Bodig (Law), Trevor Stack (Language and Literature) and Andrea Teti (Politics and International Relations).
Maria Noujaim successfully passed her viva, also with minor corrections. Her topic was 'The EU’s Common Asylum System after the Arab Spring: New Intergovernmentalism in the Shadow of a Crisis'. Her supervisors were Michael Smith and Ezel Tabur (Politics and International Relations)
Many congratulations to both.
