The School hosted its first Mini Open Day for local secondary schools on 6thJune 2018. We welcomed students and teachers from Hazlehead, Portlethen, Bucksburn, Robert Gordon College, and Albyn. The day began with a welcome from the Head of School, Dr Mervyn Bain. Students then participated in interactive sessions where academic staff introduced them to the basic ideas in Anthropology, Sociology and Politics & International Relations. Our guests were given a tour of the campus and attended a Q&A session where they had the opportunity to find out more about the UG degree in Social Science at the University of Aberdeen. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, gaining greater insights into studying in our School. We hope to welcome them back soon!
