Catherina Becker & Thomas Becker - University of Edinburgh

IMS Seminar - Molecules, Cells & Immunity Series

They will each be giving 20-25min seminars about their recent work.

They each run independent labs and each are internationally respected leaders in spinal cord regeneration (Catherina)  and the molecular signals underpinning neuronal regeneration as well as use of stem cells to replace lost/damaged neuron in adult organisms (Thomas). They both use the zebrafish embryo for their research and have pioneered the use of zebrafish for spinal cord repair research.
