Academy Award-winning Scottish director, Kevin Macdonald, who twice has appeared on our Director's Cut series, has released his latest much acclaimed film, The Mauritanian (2021) starring Jodie Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The film has been selected to open the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in June 2021. Watch our webcast with the director under the Videos section.
Postscript: Cumberbatch was a former undergraduate student of Alan Marcus, the creator of The Director's Cut, when in the Drama Department at the University of Manchester.
