Junior Honours German Studies student, Lee Morrow, presented his work at a prestigious international undergraduate conference in German Studies, held at the University of Cambridge.
Lee was among the German Studies students from institutions around the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the US, whose paper was selected for inclusion in the 2024 Cambridge Undergraduate Conference in German Studies on ‘Fact and Fiction’, which took place on 1-2 March at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. Lee gave a paper entitled 'Echoes of the Past, Visions for the Future: Holocaust Memorialisation in Contemporary Vienna', in a panel on 'Remembering National Socialism on Site & Screen'.
In addition to conference paper panels, the undergraduate conference participants also had the opportunity to listen to a reading by award-winning Austrian writer Tonio Schachinger and to participate in workshops with the fact-checking team of the broadcaster Deutsche Welle.
Many congratulations to Lee on his conference success!
