The Walter Scott Research Centre is leading a series of events for the Being Human Festival (9-18 November 2023).
Inspired by Walter Scott’s interest in Scottish supernatural stories and the ‘community of fable’ created by the ‘transmission of similar tales from age to age, and from country to country’, researchers from the WSRC are gathering traditional supernatural tales told by people living in Scotland today for a series of interactive workshops at the Being Human Festival. The open call for traditional supernatural tales, festival events, and digital outputs will provide the opportunity for people to create new communities of fable through creative writing and storytelling.
