University of Aberdeen student, Jonathon Love, has been selected as a finalist for the NCEM Young Composers Award with his string quartet, 'Seascape'.
University of Aberdeen first year IT student, Jonathon Love, has been studying music composition with Teaching Fellow, Dr Gemma McGregor. He has worked alongside her second year composition class and written a string quartet which he submitted to a Call for Scores from the National Centre for Early Music.
Jonathon has been selected as a finalist for the NCEM Young Composers Award with his string quartet, 'Seascape'. On the 18th and 19th of May, the finalists of the competition will have their compositions workshopped by the Consone Quartet, who are a member of the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists. On the 19th of May , the pieces will be recorded and performed at a concert, and the overall winners will be announced.
