The German Department would like to share the success of one of their students at a recent Austrian Literature Competition "writeAUT"
This year's virtual prize giving ceremony of the Austrian literature competition "WriteAUT" which is organised by Austrian lecturer across the UK and Ireland, took place on April 30th and was hosted by the Austrian Cultural Forum London.
The German Department is announcing with huge pride that both our students who entered the competition have been successful and received the first and second prize in the public/online voting, which shows their huge passion and commitment for the German language. Both wrote fantastic pieces of literature which we would like to share with you all. Both texts can be found on the WriteAUT website - texts 3 and 13 (in German only) - and a reading from our final year student and winner of this category of the competition will be available soon on the website. We’re very proud of our students and their engagement with extracurricular activities and work as especially these days it's sometimes hard to find one's motivation.
So we are even more happy than usual to see that these difficult circumstances didn't hinder our students to engage with their studies and live their passion for a foreign language.
