Join Siglo de Oro and The Spinacino Consort for an evening of traditional festive music.
This acclaimed vocal ensemble associated with Spain’s ‘Golden Century’ brings a programme of traditional festive delights from England and Ireland, accompanied by the Scottish-based instrumental ensemble The Spinacino Consort (violin, viol, lute). Co-funded by the Continuo Foundation, the two ensembles will be undertaking at residency at the University before undertaking a Scottish tour and a performance at London’s Wigmore Hall. Tonight’s programme will also feature the premiere performance of a new work by the University’s own Professor of Composition Phillip Cooke, including participation by some of our best vocal students.
