Spanish and Latin American Film Club: Screening of The Last Circus

Spanish and Latin American Film Club: Screening of The Last Circus
-

This is a past event

On Wednesday (March 29) we will hold the second screening of the Spanish and Latin American Film Club, co-organised by the Spanish and Latin American Society and the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies.

We will watch the Spanish film Balada triste de trompeta (The Last Circus, 2017), directed by Alex de la Iglesia, an outlandish story of love and violence that unfolds in a circus in the context of the Spanish Civil War.

Dr Bárbara Barreiro León will be in charge of presenting the film, and the screening will be followed by a discussion session.

The screening will take place at NK 10 (New King's) from 6pm until 9pm, and the film will be shown with English subtitles.

If you have any questions, ideas, or you want to participate in organising the screenings, please feel free to email Dr Rodrigo López Martínez (rodrigo.lopezmartinez@abdn.ac.uk) or Dr Bárbara Barreiro León (barbara.leon@abdn.ac.uk), or get in touch with the Spanish and Latin American Society.

All welcome to attend and invite your friends!
