Decolonisation and the Curriculum in LLMVC

Decolonisation and the Curriculum in LLMVC

This is a past event

A meeting for students and staff in LLMVC on how the decolonisation agenda can enrich our curricula and teaching.

This year, the University has set up a steering group to look at how the decolonisation agenda can enrich and repair our curricula and teaching. Globally, the movement to decolonise education is led by students and communities, not institutions, and we recognise the importance of student leadership within this process. Students and Staff in LLMVC are invited to this meeting to start a conversation about how students and staff can contribute to this collective project, and what it can achieve. Some key questions to consider are What does decolonisation mean for teaching in LLMVC, and for the University of Aberdeen? How can we support students, especially students from marginalised and underrepresented groups, to work with us to achieve change?
