The Centre for Knowledge and Society has received a Library Subject Development Award for 2019. This award will greatly support the CEKAS project on Visualisation in Biomedicine, which investigates the role of visual representation in the biomedical sciences, including their use in science education. The award will allow acquiring monographs that are some of the essential contributions to the scholarship on scientific imagery from different perspectives and disciplinary fields. This includes some older titles, which represent the foundational ground of the discipline and are often quoted in relevant contemporary literature on visualisation and science.
