The department of Art History has been ranked first in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022. The survey asks final year students to look back on their degree studies and speak out on everything from the teaching on their courses, access to resources and equipment, and about the student voice.
Dr Joanne Anderson, Head of Art History, said: "We are delighted that our recently graduated students have reported 100% overall satisfaction in their art historical studies and time with us in Aberdeen. They have come through significant challenges with online and hybrid learning in their honours years due to covid restrictions and have impressed us with their engagement, achievements and sense of community. To rank number one in the UK for the discipline for overall satisfaction is a wonderful surprise and we are committed to maintaining high standards for our students going forward with the support of the School and University."
Art History's undergraduate programme offers students a strong orientation in the discipline, from theory to practice, including courses on museum history and curating.
