Wendy recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a first class honours degree in History of Art. She will be returning to us in September to begin her doctoral research project, "Enlightenment Society Observed", which will examine the life and career of the Edinburgh artist and barber-surgeon, John Kay (1742-1826).
Wendy’s PhD research will be supervised by Dr Helen Pierce and Professor John Morrison in History of Art, and will be supported by a Carnegie PhD Scholarship. These prestigious and highly competitive awards support a limited number of graduates, with first class honours degrees from Scottish universities, who wish to pursue three years of postgraduate research leading to a PhD at a university in Scotland.
