Congratulations to our undergraduate winners in Art History for the 2023-24 academic year!
Allie Glew, Morven Tarbert and Leigh Wilson were joined today by Head of Art History Dr Joanne Anderson, for the presentation of prizes and congratulations all round.
Allie received the Derek Ogston Prize for 2023-24, awarded to the most proficient student graduating with a single or joint honours degree in History of Art. She is continuing her studies this year with us, with an MLitt by Research supervised by Dr Karl Kinsella.
Morven Tarbert was awarded the Donal Byrne Prize in Art History, for the best essay in Art History at Level 3. Her winning essay was "Object, Subject, Painter, Composer?: Feminism through the Lens of Janine Antoni's Performative Body Art."
Leigh Wilson has received the Felicia Murray Lefebvre Prize, awarded for the best essay submitted by any Level 2 student in Art History. His winning essay was "To What Extent Does Parchment Explain the Book of Deer's Functionality as a Manuscript?"
