Amy Bryzgel (History of Art) and Adrienne Janus (School of Language and Literature) are organizing a session entitled “The Art of Performance” at this year’s May Festival. The event will take place on Saturday 30 May, from 14:30-16:00 in the Linklater Rooms. Their presentation brings together arts practitioners, academics and students to offer a range of short performances, including sound, theatre and polemic, followed by a round table discussion to consider the nature of performance in Aberdeen and opportunities for innovation and participation. Questions such as: what does it mean to perform? Is performance participative? What is the role of performance in Aberdeen? will be addressed. The event is free, but booking is required. All welcome!
