Item Description |
A new dance, the quadrille, was introduced to Scotland from France around 1815, and was soon danced in the United States, and Australia. Skinner has arranged 'The Bush Aboon Traquhair', and 'Birks of Invermay', for the fourth part of the dance. 'The Bush' appeared in Francis Peacock's 'Fifty Favourite Scotch Airs' (see JSS0562). |
